Nursery team

What qualifications do your staff team have?

We are a highly qualified staff team, with all Room Supervisors qualified to level 5 or working towards a level 5 qualification. The Management Team are qualified to level 6 or above. Our Early years practitioners are all qualified to level 2 and 3 in a recognised early years qualification.

We support the early years sector by providing apprenticeships and we provide ongoing support for apprentices who are at the beginning of their early years journey.

We believe that our staff team is our biggest asset and work hard to promote a love of learning about all things early years. By doing so, children are provided with the very best that early years education has to offer.

How do you keep to ratios throughout the day?

We operate using the ratios set out in the EYFS. In order to ensure our team have a good work life balance and regular breaks during the day, we employ additional practitioners to cover the main parts of the day and to cover annual leave.

Nursery meals

How are the meals prepared in nursery?

We have our own nursery kitchen team who plan an prepare high quality snacks and meals for the children each day. We have a four week rolling menu which is monitored and adjusted seasonally. All meals are cooked from scratch, using fresh, healthy ingredients.

How do you cater for children with allergies or dietary requirements?

If your child has any specific allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know. We will ask you to complete a form so we can use this information to plan a suitable menu for your child when in nursery. This information will be kept in the kitchen and your child’s current room to ensure everyone is aware of their dietary needs. We use a clear labelling system throughout nursery to prevent any cross contamination and information is checked and updated regularly.

How do you support the weaning process?

We follow your lead. We can provide children with pureed food or we are also experienced in baby led weaning. Whatever routine you are following at home, we will follow in nursery.
